Poznań Agglomeration Strategy

Mr. Marek Bańczyk was invited to cooperate in defining the Poznań Agglomeration Strategy. The project is coordinated by the Centre for Metropolitan Studies under the supervision of Prof. Tomasz Kaczmarek.

We live in the ever more non-consumption driven era. Era based on knowledge and economy based on sensation – era of experience. We do not buy products -instead we buy emotions that follow. Creative industries include activities in which we can use original approach in creating new solutions. Be it for money or for fun! Aims vary, but in our global era when production is shifted freely from one continent to another only intellectual value can guarantee development. That is why creative industries decide in the biggest extent about the pace of development of both cities and entire countries, both in economic and social extent. Institutions and cultural events on the other hand are the factor that inspires, enriches and attracts creative people and business. We deal with culture and creative industries from the economic point of view. On the micro scale we design new institutions, we analyse best projects already implemented in the world (using the benchmarking approach), we design financial and legal solutions for innovation and cultural events and investments, we prepare feasibility studies, we associate partners, we support management, audit, we help in international expansion (expansion strategies, design and positioning of global brands, registration of international logos, brands and patents). On the macro scale we conduct research and analysis of creative and cultural industries, we design and conduct culture development strategies, innovation support strategies, operational and purpose driven programmes. We analyse how the cultural and innovative programmes and projects influence the development of cities, regions and countries.
